When did your love affair with wine begin?
At one of my first restaurant jobs I had a friendly regular who would drink great wine and let me taste, sharing knowledge about what he had ordered. One day it was the 1994 Bernardus Marinus, and I realized that it was just… different. A dozen years later and I still revel in finding the new and delicious.
Favorite places to eat/drink/play?
Denver, Austin, New York, New Orleans.
What is one quirky thing no one knows about you?
My folks didn’t give me a middle name, so I picked my own. It's Harvey, by the way.
If you were throwing a dinner party, who would you invite?
My friends for sure, and I’d love to have Richard Branson, Thomas Jefferson, Thor
Heyerdahl, Deepak Chopra, Bono, Toots, Jose Andres, Anthony Bourdain.
Who do you adore as a style icon?
James Dean and Aaron Forman.
What do you love most about your job?
Opening our members' minds, palates, and doors to great wines!

The perfect white shirt.
